A Jazz journalist Takao Ogawa who was called “my doctor” by Miles Davis and a keyboard player Yusuke Hirado, the leader of “quasimode” formed a super jam band [Selim Slive Elementz] with elite players who inherit the genes of Miles Music.
"If Miles were alive, he must be playing this style of music" is the concept of the band.
Selim is a Miles inverse spell (Miles' album "Live - Evil" also has a song with the same name), Slive is a variant of Lives, and meaning its Elements.
The band performed the first live at "Motion Blue Yokohama" in December 2016 and called "2 Sax, 2 Guitar, 4 Rhythms weave in the 21st Century Electric Miles Sounds!”
May 18, 2017, the band recorded a live at "Haretara Sora-ni Mame Maite" in Daikanyama, Tokyo and released the album "Resurrection" on August 23, 2017 from T5Jazz Inc. as their first album.
And April 10, 2019, the band recorded a live at “JZ Brat Sound of Tokyo” in Shibuya and will release their second album “VOICE” on August 7, 2019 from Ultra-Vybe.
